Norbert Magosi has received a wild card for the inaugural round of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2024, which will be held in Debrecen on June 8.
The 49-year-old is one of the most successful Hungarian speedway riders in history. Magosi has stood on the top step of the podium in the Hungarian Individual Championships five times. He also won two medals at the European Pairs Championships: silver in 2011 and bronze in 2006. This will be his first appearance in the TAURON SEC, and what's more, he will become the oldest debutant in the history of the championship. Certainly, participating in the round of the Individual European Championship will be a touching moment for him, as well as for the local fans, and a source of pride.
The reserve riders for the first round of TAURON SEC 2024 will be Matić Ivacić and Roland Kovacs. Ivacić is a four-time Individual Slovenian Champion, who had the opportunity to compete in two rounds of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series, while Kovacs is last year's silver medalist in the Individual Hungarian Championship.
