We already know the calendar of the TAURON SEC 2023. The organizers chose venues that are famous for competitions full of excitement and countless on-track actions. The series will start in Częstochowa and will end in the extremely climatic Pardubice.
May 2019, Częstochowa. Emil Sajfutdinov shows off with a race that many experts are calling the heat of the decade. The former Unia Leszno overtook the hosts' representative Jakub Miśkowiak with an epic, unusual fashion. For years, the local track has been associated with excellent Ekstraliga matches, and we hope to see many exciting races during the inaugural round of the TAURON SEC. The Arena at Olsztyńska Street returns to the calendar after a nine-year break.
Güstrow will host the best speedway riders of the Old Continent during the second round of the competition. The track, which is only 298 metres long, is one of the symbols of the TAURON SEC series. Fans love the venue for its great atmosphere and interesting oval, which requires riders to demonstrate outstanding technical skills. In 2022, the competition in Güstrow provided extraordinary emotions, especially for Polish fans. Janusz Kołodziej won the event, followed by Patryk Dudek. The Poles certainly don't mind a repeat. We hope that the tournament will be a great advertisement for speedway. See you in Germany on August 5.
After the short-track competition, the speedway riders will face the challenge on the legendary venue in Bydgoszcz. One could list all the spectacular actions of Tomasz Gollob, which the champion carried out on the track in Sportowa Street, but then one would have to devote several hours to reading this text. There is no shortage of opinions that even friendly matches are interesting at the Polonia stadium. You can overtake both under the bunch and on the inside. Bydgoszcz returns to the TAURON SEC calendar after two years. The last winner is the two-time European Individual Champion, Leon Madsen.
The final will take place on a wide track in Pardubice, Czech Republic. Anyone who has spent a weekend in this city at least once will certainly not regret it. An added bonus is that the SEC trip can be combined with Zlatá Stuha and Zlatá Prilba, which will take place on the next two days. The oval itself is conducive to a spectacular battle, and the general classification and the battle for medals should be an additional factor boosting the excitement level. Let's recall last year and Leon Madsen, who finished the series with just one point ahead of Janusz Kolodziej. Behind them was the battle between Mikkel Michelsen and Patryk Dudek, from which the Dane emerged victorious. We are hoping for a similar level of adrenaline in the late September!
