The PGE Ekstriga rivalry has begun. Both matches were won by the guests, and the main roles were played by the regular participants of the SEC 2022 cycle - Mikkel Michelsen, Leon Madsen and Piotr Pawlicki.
The first match of the season took place in Częstochowa, where Włókniarz lost to Unia Leszno 44:46. The most effective rider of the hosts was Leon Madsen, who scored 15 points in six starts. Piotr Pawlicki made a big contribution to his team's victory. Polish rider started the season with an engine failure, but in the next races were much better for him. In the end Pawlicki scored eight points.
The second meeting took place in Gorzów, where Motor Lublin beat the local Stal. The hero of the match was Mikkel Michelsen. Two-time Individual European Champion won four out of six races, including the most important one, in which he defeated Bartosz Zmarzlik and Martin Vaculik, which gave Motor their first league points. Michelsen scored 14 points.
