Patrick Hansen finished on 12th position in the Speedway Euro Championship 2021. The Dane insists that competing against Europe's best riders is a good lesson for him for the future.
Hansen won the promotion to the Individual European Championship series during the SEC Challenge in Pardubice. This year's competition was his first as a regular rider in the Speedway Euro Championship.
- It's obviously not good enough, but it was my first year. I feel like I learned a lot, but I would love to score a few more points. Well, maybe not a few, but a lot more points.
Fans will surely remember his performance in the 18th race in Rybnik. Hansen had a great duel with David Bellego, which the Frenchman won.
- I finally made a good start. I was struggling with my starts through the whole series. I guess it was a bit too defensive in the last corner. I really didn't know where to go.
