Peter, first of all, how do you feel?
- Well, generally it can be said that it’s okay now. Every day I feel better and better and I think I’m ready to come back on a track. After this crash concussion so doctors advised me to rest and I had to do that but, as I said, everything goes well and I’m coming back.
When exactly are you coming back?
- This Sunday (17. 08.) I will start in Tarnów and this will be my first event after the break.
Let’s talk a little bit about Speedway European Championships series. You must be satisfied with your scores, right?
- Yes, of course. So far everything has been going pretty well for me in SEC and I hope that the last tournament will also be successful. Honestly I was afraid a little bit of the tournaments in Gustrow and Togliatti because I hadn’t been there before but everything went well and I can be satisfied with my scores. In general classification my situation is also okay and who knows, maybe I will even win the title.
The last tournament is in Częstochowa so I guess this is another advantage for you…
- Yes, the track in Częstochowa I know the best of all on which the SEC tournaments take place. I hope that, as in the other three, this time I will also fight for the rostrum and maybe even for a win. I will definitely do my best to have as good score as possible and to give some joy to fans.
Do you feel any additional pressure connected with the fact that this last tournament is in Częstochowa?
- No, for me it’s just another tournament. I’m really happy that we will be racing in Częstochowa but there is not any additional pressure. As always I want to do my best and fight for the podium.
Unfortunately your Polish club has some problems. Don’t you regret that you are in Częstochowa?
- No, I really wanted to race in Polish Ekstraliga and it is possible for me in Częstochowa. Of course we have some problems but I hope we will manage to cope with this situation and everything will come back to norm. As far as I am concerned I will definitely do my best in every match and I want to score as many points as possible.
