FLAGS & LIGHTS
Green light - turned by a referee just before a heat - a signal to riders that in a moment the heat starts. At the green light, which is placed just behind a fence which is around a track and a dozen meters from the start, riders use throttle, are motionless and look at the tape,
Amber light - a sign from a referee that there are only two minutes to the start of a heat,
Red flag – kept by a person on a bend, it is used to signalize stopping of a heat,
Start to flag - when starting tape mechanism fails and at the stadium in addition there is a lack of electricity, then riders start to flag, ie. they move when the start director brings it up,
Helmets colors - light in colors of helmets of particular riders inform which of riders was excluded from a re – run of a heat.
