The best riders in Europe will fight on 4 different stadiums in Speedway Euro Championship 2018. Gniezno, Gustrow, Daugavpils and Chorzów got to give fans a lot of big emotions. Will that come true? We asked our expert, Get Well Toruń manager Jacek Frątczak for an analysis.
The cycle inauguration will take place at June 23rd on stadium in the first Polish capital – Gniezno. Last year, we could see a pretty nice Speedway Best Pairs round there.
- The geometric part of track in Gniezno makes a lot of moves in the field possible. Unfortunately last year organizers were forced to change Speedway Best Pairs date, but also in other competitions, the fight was pretty interesting. Last year the chef of track in Gniezno decided to change the surface. Paradoxically I think that it will be good if there will be a bit of rain before the competition. Also riders have to keep focus on acute corners and long straights, it does not take too much rain to stay safe on the track. I’m waiting for that SEC round – said Jacek Frątczak.
Also Speedway Euro Championship and U 21 World Championship participants had been fighting last year in Gustrow.
- I hope that weather won’t be similar to that last year. Problems, that U21 World Championship organizers had to face were really huge and also forced the rivalisation. Fortunately, SEC is coming to Gustrow since 2014, so it’s all known trail – analized Frątczak.
Third SEC round will come to Latvia. In 2016 fans had a huge chance to watch brilliant competition there, wherein riders made some unexpectable results.
There, we know what we can expect. We had a lot of occasions to see the best riders in the world on this track. The track conditions are pretty similar every time. Despite that the track is very hard and slicky every time, better riders have a lot of fun in the field there – said Jacek Frątczak.
The SEC 2018 Grand Final will take place in Chorzów on Śląski Stadium. It will be true pearl in this year cycle. On legendary stadium we're expecting epic atmosphere and giant emotions.
