Speedway Euro Championship series is going back to Sweden after a one-year break. This time, top European riders will face each other at the current Swedish champions’ track – Rospiggarna Hallstavik.

SEC’s first time in Sweden was in Kumla. Back in August 15th, 2015, third round of the Euro Championship was held. Meeting gained big attention of fans, who witnessed a passionate rivalry and at the end of the day, it was Emil Sayfutdinov winning with maximum points.

Further positions were taken by Grigorii Laguta and Nicki Pedersen. This time, it’s Hallstavik, which is the host of 3rd round of SEC. Town is located near Skeboan river, around 100 kilometers from Stockholm and its citizens’ main hobby is speedway.

Micke Teurnberg, coach of the local team – Rospiggarna Hallstavik, who grabbed the win in Elitserien league 2016, assures that the round in Hallstavik will gain a big attention of the fans.

- Meeting is planned on August 5th, it’s a perfect date. During the holiday time, our regions is visited by many tourists. Therefore, we expect a huge interest – Teurnberg says.

Next to local crowd’s favourite – Andrea Jonsson, Sweden will be also represented by Jacob Thorssell, who can definitely count this season as his best ever.
