Second round of this year's Speedway Euro Championship is coming. After a grand inauguration of the series, which took place at Motoarena in Toruń, it's time to move to Güstrow. At this very specific track, sixteen riders will fight for another points to the general classification. One of them is Artem Laguta.
After the first round, younger Laguta brother is classified at 9th position. In some pre-season talks, Artem clearly stated that he's interested only in the TOP 3 of SEC. Unfortunately, round in Toruń went way under Russian's expectations. As he admitted himself, issue is not in this year's venues.
- Generally I don't have tracks, where I feel better or worse. I'm always trying to prepare to start at each one of them to get the best possible score. In fact, every track of this year's series suit me - Laguta said.
On this Saturday, July 15, riders will have their rivalry in German Güstrow. Artem has some good memories from German's track, where during the Speedway Best Pairs Cup in 2015, he had a great performance, colleting 15 points.
- I got good memories from there. However, it's a very specific track, where even those experienced riders can have some issues. It's a bit too round, you have to race with your bike turned all the time - said younger Laguta brother.
Riders starting in SEC are able to choose their starting number. Artem Laguta made a decision to pick no.2. Where's this decision from?
- I always wanted to race with this number. Even at the motocross meeting, I started with no.2 and it was all good, so I decided to do the same in speedway - Russian ended.
