Before first SEC round in Toruń, you have to look at foreign riders, who can cause some problems for the Polish stars. Expert Jacek Frątczak has his own favourites.
Laguta brothers are present on Toruń’s SEC round startlist. Grigorij Laguta has interesting experience form previous SEC edition, wherein he lost one round and still fought for the medal. Both brothers, according to Jacek Frątczak, should be on the top in Toruń and fight with the Polish favourites like Pawlicki, Kasprzak or Hampel.
- We have to take a closer look at Artiom Laguta, who is very fast this year. His performance in national meeting against Poland was only an accident at work. His brother is in irregular form this year. I spoke with Artiom some time ago. He said, that Grisza had found right engine, but we’ll see – said ex-Falubaz Zielona Góra manager.
Last year tournament was very successful for Vaclav Milik. Czech, riding in Sparta Wrocław in Polish PGE Ekstraliga, finished on the 2nd place. Also this year he will be very dangerous, because he’s making a lot of points in the league and was third in Speedway Grand Prix in Prague. His additional advantage is league meeting again Get Well Toruń 5 days before SEC, and it can help him with finding the right setups.
- One of the biggest favourites – said Frątczak – I would like to see Krzysztof Kasprzak making the same recovery as Milik, because Czech started riding like crazy after he had the injury. He’s making more than 10 points almost in every competition. Only in Zielona Góra he wasn’t as fast as always, but I think he shouldn’t ride there. That time was too early to show any skills after injury, but now he’s in good and equal form, so I won’t be surprised to see him on the top – added Frątczak.
This year SEC startlist is very aligned. Except listed riders, you have to look at Dane Leon Madsen, Latvian Andrey Lebedev and experienced Andreas Jonsson and Kenneth Bjerre.
