Kenneth Bjerre has fought for the place in SEC cycle for two years. One time he was close to do it, but he lost the pass-card in SEC Challenge 2015 by one point – he was left only with a SEC reserve position. This time he was motivated enough to make second place in Gorican’s Challenge.

Bjerre was born at May 24th, 1984 in Esbjerg, Denmark. His city is known by the biggest trade port on North Sea. He got the speedway license in 2000 and 2 years later he made his first big result – silver medal in European Junior Championships. In Daugavpils only Matej Zagar was better and faster. What he didn’t make in Latvia, he did one year later in Pocking. This time Bjerre defeated good riders like Janusz Kołodziej and Antonio Lindbaeck. Despite European tournaments, the Dane won 4 times in Danish U-21 Championships. Since 2003 he’s the part of Danish national team, which made 3 SWC medals – 1 silver and 2 bronze.
Bjerre would like to add something to the successes from junior times in his senior carreer. However, to this moment he was unsuccessful.

- I tried to took that place in SEC for last two years. Finally I’ve done it – said Bjerre after SEC Challenge.

In 2015, Bjerre was very close to SEC cycle. He started well with the Challenge in Toruń but in second part of competition he lost a lot of important points. Finally, Bjerre finished 8th, what gave him only SEC reserve position.
Year later, rider from Esbjerg tried to promote to SEC, but he was missing in eliminations.
- Last year, the eliminations weren’t as good as I expected. That wasn’t my tour and my year – added the Dane.

In 2017 Bjerre tried again. This time he made it, so we’ll see him in European Championships. Dane scored 12 points in 5 races in qualification in Terenzano. In Gorican he wasn’t so fast, but 10 points were enough to promote to the SEC. Interestingly, it’ll be his first time in that cycle.
- I’m glad that I’ve done that. Now I can think about European championship – finished Bjerre.

First SEC round would take place at June 30th in Toruń. First race will start at 19:00. Tickets are on sale in Empik, Media Markt, Saturn and on stated website.
