In the third round of Speedway Euro Championship held in Togliatti, he got six points, however he surely counted on more. After ending the meeting in Russia, he was far from being happy then. Andzejs Lebedevs, one of the youngest riders in the line up, hopes that he'll be able to celebrate his buddy's success.
- In Togliatti it all went bad. I'm still young and stupid - said sympathetic Latvian.
Why was he that harsh on himself?
- I had 4 heats on a worse motorcycle. I totally was not able to fight on it - explains Pajaja. - I changed it for my last heat and it was way better than the first one. It was all good then. I was able to jump as first at the start and found the speed at the distancr. I made this change too late.
Latvian wasn't satisfied with his performancr, however he really enjoyed success of his good pal.
- Big congratatioms to Grisha for winning in Togliatti. He's a great friend of mine. He was riding great and I'm really happy with his success. I wish him the championship and hopefully we will celebrate it in Rybnik.- Pajaja added.
It is in Rybnik, where the grand final of Speedway Euro Championship will be held. In 3 weeks, on September 17, we will know the best speedway rider of this part of the world. Andzejs Lebedevs doesn't have bigger chances on getting the title, however he still counts on securing the spot in the cycle. It will be guaranteed to TOP 5 riders.
- I am 5 points away (from Leon Madsen who is 5th), but I will be definitely fighting. I'm sick of bringing those zeros. I just hope it will go in Rybnik the way I want - said Latvian.
