Until now, one round of Speedway Euro Championship was taken in Güstrow. That happened in 2014 and back then, Nicki Pedersen reached the triumph. Dane got the same amount of points as third, Janusz Kołodziej.
Both Pedersen and Kołodziej got 14 points, what gives them the best average at this specific, nearly 300-metres long track. Both riders have an average 2,333 point per heat. Slightly worse is Emil Sayfutdinov. Double European Champion got out of the meeting in Güstrow after the race-off heat (attacked and overtaken by Peter Kildemand).
It's the Dane along with Russian, who reached the 1,833 point per heat. Sayfutdinov will have a great chance to improve his statistics at the track in Güstrow. While coming back to the best riders of 2014, it was Nicki Pedersen, who had a chance to compete in Güstrow during the Speedway Best Pairs Cup round. Despite illness and a quite a bad mood, "Power" got 5 points in 3 starts (with a bonus added).
Janusz Kołodziej definitely counts on a better result in Individual European Championship. The perfect moment comes at the beginning of the series with a podium possibility and some good points.
While looking at the numbers only, theoretically, it's Pedersen and Kołodziej, who can be seen as the favourites of the German round. What will happan at the track? We'll see on July 16. One thing is sure, though. Emotions guaranteed!
