When after 20th heat in Ostrów, it was clear that he hadn't advanced to the race-off heat, he got mad. After a while, made a comeback and started counting points. And that was it... 33 points and ex-equo 4th place in the overall classification. Today, we're summing up season of Martin Vaculik.
Slovakian rider had a bad start for the 2nd time in a row. In 2014, during the round in Guestrow, he couldn't find the right bike's set-ups at this very technical track. And this season, got only 5 points in the inaugural round at MotoArena in Toruń. It's clear that a bad beginning sets the table and it's quite hard to catch up later on.
Landshut round was way better for the European Champion 2013, though. Good speed, having fun from racing and well-found paths put Slovakian into the race-off heat. He was 4th in it, so didn't get the promotion to the final.
Vaculik's got some great memories from Ostrów Wielkopolski. His attack in 12th heat was nominated to the TOP5 actions of the past SEC season. Literally, at the very first corner, he found some great speed and right near the fence, Martin overtook Hans Andersen.
After 20th heat, Vaculik had 9 points and the meticulous points counting started in the pits. When Slovakian found out that he was 7th after the main series of the meeting, he got upset. Martin knew that every point is crucial when it comes to overall classification.
Luckilu, for "Vacul", 33 points he reached during the all 4 rounds gave him ex-equo 4th place in SEC and what comes next, succeded to the SEC 2016. Slovakian announces that after 2 years of drought, he's ready to stand for the Euro Champ fight again.
