After winning his 2nd gold in Individual European Championship, Emil Sayfutdinov put Russia through to the leader's position concerning the amount of the golden medals in history of this series.
Up until 2015, Poland was leading this classification (2 golden medals, 8 silver & 2 bronzes). It is beyond any doubt that white and red are still unbeatable when it comes to the medals' amount, however when counting the golds – new leader – Russia showed up.
Big part of that job was made by Emil Sayfutdinov, who reached the gold in SEC twice in a row (2014, 2015). Before that, Grigorij Laguta & Renat Gafurov had also reached this trophy.
Right now, „Sborna” has got 4 golden medals and one bronze. Who knows, maybe next season it will even be more, because Emil is not planning to stop and as he says, he's still hungry for more wins and medals.
