It is characteristic for Grigory Laguta that he kicks off with the end of the season. Therefore, in the fight for the Individual Championship of Europe from the beginning of the series he has a big problem. In the current season, he can only fight for staying in the series.
European champion 2011, the first season in the reformed competition started really badly. In Gdansk he scored just 4 points which at the beginning caused enormous losses to leaders. Injuries of other riders made that Laguta was a bit of lucky and in 2013 at the last moment jumped on the lowest step of the podium.
The next season was very unlucky for Russian, because just before the start of the tournament, Grigory got injured, which eliminated him from riding for a few weeks. He came back on a track pretty quickly, but as it turned out ... too quickly. Another pause lasted longer, several weeks, and because of that Laguta lost three of the four rounds of SEC.
He marked his presence only in Czestochowa, where he won with 17 points. No one had doubts that Grisha will compete for a medal in 2015. Meanwhile, the rider representing, inter alia, KS Torun, started the season without a flash, and after two rounds his loss to the podium was significant. Only in Kumla he showed racing at the highest level, thanks to which he finished the competition in the second place. This allowed him to be fourth in the general classification. In Ostrow he will certainly want to show up again with a good hand, to secure a place in SEC 2016.
