Controversy in Rzeszow, Protasiewicz’s injury

 On Sunday the 11th round of Polish PGE Ekstraliga was held. The most controversial was the match in Rzeszow where the local team PGE Stal beat KS Torun 49:40. It was only in the first phase of the meeting when two riders were excluded to the end of the match. In the first heat Mirosław Jabłoński from the team of hosts and a few heats later Oskar Fajfer from KS Torun.

 The was no lack of emotions at Podkarpacie region during the meeting between PGE Stal Rzeszow and KS Torun. Only the fourteenth heat decided that the team from Rzeszow won during Sunday fight. Hosts beat the team from Torun 49:40. Kenni Larsen and Peter Kildemand scored the most points for the winners. Apart from positive emotions connected with the events on the track, there were also two controversial decisions of a referee. Piotr Lis decided that Mirosław Jabłoński and Oskar Fajfer should be excluded to the end of the match because according to him they stopped heats because of falls on purpose.

The meeting of 11th round of PGE Ekstraliga between MRGARDEN GKM Grudziadz and Betard Sparta Wroclaw ended with a victory of hosts. Rafał Okoniewski and Artiom Laguta led the team from Grudziadz to the victory. Tai Woffinded was the guard of honor among the visitors.

The match between Unia Leszno and Stal Gorzow ended with the victory of hosts 48:42. The most effective rider of the meeting was Nicki Pedersen who scored 14 points. The best in the visiting team was Matej Zagar. The rider ended the match with 11 points. Piotr Pawlicki had also a good day among the hosts and he scored 10 points and a bonus.

In the match of 11th round of PGE Ekstraliga SPAR Falubaz Zielona Gora lost on their home track with Unia Tarnow 43:47. Visitors were led to a victory by their captain Janusz Kołodziej (13). Piotr Protasiewicz (11) was the best among hosts. The captain of the team from Zielona Gora after finishing the heat number eight fell so unlucky that it excluded him from the other part of the match. Doctors suspect that he could break his collarbone.
