Last Sunday in Daugavpils and Lamothe – Landerron two last qualifying rounds, from which riders qualified for SEC Challenge, took place. Last obstacle before the qualifications for Speedway European Championships series is in Slovenian Lendava, on the 30th May.
Many great riders will start in the event which guarantees great emotions and unique show. Among fifteen riders, who qualified from Debrecen, Daugavpils and Lamothe – Landerron, the most numerous group will be Poles. Six riders from Poland won the qualification for SEC Challenge and among them is e. g. Individual World Champion U21, Piotr Pawlicki and one of the most experienced riders in the line – up, Piotr Protasiewicz.
Danes, who will start in Slovenia in a group of four, will also surely fight for qualification for SEC. Laguta brothers have also great aspirations and they can’t imagine other situation than qualification for SEC series from Lendava.
The sixteenth rider who will start in Lendava will be pointed by the local federation. It will be a representative of hosts and he will receive so called Wild Card.
Let’s remind that seven riders will qualify directly from SEC Challenge. Apart from this, the organizers of the tournament, One Sport will give two permanent wild cards more. Who will ride in SEC as a permanent participant? We’ll find out in less than two weeks!
