Grigorij Laguta took the third place during Thursday's round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship, which took place in Gniezno. The Russian scored 11 points and as a consequence is also on the third place in the interim classification of the series.
The past two days were extremely successful for Laguta. On Wednesday, he took second place in Rybnik and right the next day he stood on the lowest step of the rostrum in Gniezno. Due to his high scores, the Russian is third in the interim classification of the series, having seven points loss to second Leo Madsen and a six point advantage to the fourth on the scoring table, Mikkel Michelsen.
- I am satisfied with this performance. Third place is important, but the most important thing is the amount of points I scored. The track was difficult today, I think everyone was struggling with proper bike setups" said Laguta.
This week, the fans witnessed two rounds of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020. Laguta stressed that both rounds were organized really well, despite the very short time between the end of the competition in Rybnik and the start in Gniezno, which the organizer had to schedule day after day.
- Congratulations to the organizers that they managed to conduct two tournaments in two days. Everything was well organized - ended Grigorij Laguta
The final round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020 will be held in Toruń, 29 July at 7 PM. Tickets for this event are available via eBilet.pl.
