For the second time this season, Bartosz Zmarzlik received a wild card for a TAURON Speedway Euro Championship round. This time Zmarzlik will race in Rybnik, during the fourth round of the Individual European Championship.

Bartosz Zmarzlik made his debut in the series, on 4th of July at the Motoarena in Toruń. Back then he scored 10 points, which allowed him to participate in the “last chance” heat. However, Leon Madsen and Bartosz Smektala crossed the finish line before Zmarzlik. Finally, the third place in this heat did not give him a promotion to the finals.

- I would give my appearance in Toruń a grade B. I'm still looking for something and after this competition I’ve had a lot observations, much more than after the practices. The situation is that we have very few meetings, but we still are working hard to make our results better and better," said Individual World Champion 2019 after his debut.

The competition in Rybnik will surely be crucial for all those fighting for the Individual European Championship title, because after that one, we will know who counts in the fight for the gold medal and the promotion to next year's Grand Prix series, as well as who has already dropped out of the competition and can only fight to remain in the TAURON SEC cycle.

What is Bartosz Zmarzlik's approach for his second appearance in the TAURON SEC series?

- I am very satisfied with the fact that the organizers awarded me with a wild card again. Just like I said after the Torun events, the European Championship cycle is very competitive and all the riders who ride here are strongly determined to win it. My debut wasn't the worst, but I didn't get promoted to the final heat. I’m gonna be ready for this competition as much as I can be for every other one and I want to fight for the best possible result. I have very good memories from this city, because last year I competed here in the meeting “Poland vs Rest of the world”. This season I got a maximum of points in the league match here. I know it will be hard to repeat this result, but I will do my best to please the Polish fans who will be at the stands - says Individual World Champion from 2019, Bartosz Zmarzlik.

The title sponsor of the cycle is TAURON, the General Partner is LOTTO. The event will be broadcasted by Eurosport.

The competition in Rybnik will take place on 22nd July at 7 PM in Gniezno. Tickets are available via
