Grigorij Laguta took the third place during the second round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship in Bydgoszcz. Thanks to his high score, the Russian moved up to the fifth place in the interim classification of the series.

After a quite disappointing round in Toruń, this time Laguta showed great performance. The Russian scored 12 points in the main phase of the tournament, so he directly promoted to the final heat. In this one, he had a great competition with Mikkel Michelsen and Emil Sayfutdinov. He ended up right behind the current Individual European Champion. The spectators in Bydgoszcz witnessed amazingly many fantastic races and Laguta himself was delighted and surprised by the preparation of the local track.

- That meeting was great. I didn't expect such a well prepared track. You could fight all over the track. You could see that the other riders wanted to race. I think the fans can be very satisfied, not only those who watched the competition at the stands, but also those in front of the TV. I'm very satisfied with this one. The track was prepared very well. I did not expect that. I thought there were going to be more holes and ruts but in the meantime the surface "held on" perfectly during all heats - said Grigorij Laguta.

The third round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship will be held in Gniezno, July 15th at 7 PM. Tickets for this event are available via eBilet.pl.
