Krzystof Kasprzak who collected the Wild Card for SEC in Gorican was born July the 18th 1984 in Leszno. Hi is a son of well known in polish speedway Zenon Kasprzak. Speedway license Krzysztof is havin' from year 2000.
Four times finalist of Individual Junior Championships. Champion in 2005 and silver medalist in 2002. Twice finalist of Individual European Junior Championships under-19. In 2005 he reached gold medals for Pland in European Pairs and Team Juniors World Championships. Four times he was in the Poland team for Speedway World Cup – in 2004 team was fourth, year after polish riders won the trophy with Kasprzak as a reserve. In 2007 with team Poland won World Cup gold medal as a rider with fourteen points scoring. In 2009 again Poland collected gold in SWC. This year also was perfect for Poland and Krzysztof himself. With Maciej Janowski, Jaroslaw Hampel and Patryk Dudek polish national team were again team world champions in the final in Prague. Krzysztof came second in the GP Chaleenge in Poole and he completed his place in the World Championships for next year.
On the polish tracks the biggest success so far for Krzysztof is Gold ( 2007) and silver ( 2002 and 2008) medals with Unia Leszno in the league. He have also silver medal in juniors competition from 2004 and gold in team juniors competition from 2001 which he collected with his younger brother Robert. In 2002 Krzysztof won the silver helmet in Poland, year after he came second in bronze helmet tournament and he was third in the same competition in 2002. With brother Robert and Norbert Kosciuck won gold in 2005 from team juniors championship ( silver in 2004 ).
Junior Champion tittle in 2005 Krzysztof had in unusual meeteing. Too much rain in Wiener Neustad stopped the final after 12 heats. After that was a draw and that is how Kasprzak became a junior World Champion. In 2002 polish international came second in U-21 competition.
September the 11th in Poole will be held a testimonial for his 10 years racin' in British Elite League. Poole Pirates ( first english club for Krzysztof ) will race against Kasprzak Racing team. There will be two SEC riders in this team: Martin Vaculik and Matej Zagar.
July the 30th polish president honured Krzysztof with Golden Cross medal for his achievements in speedway sport. Now in Poland he is in Stal Gorzów team which came fifth this season. Very good time he had in Poole Pirates in England where now he's racin' for Coventry Bees ( he left the them this year ). His average was 7.33 – a little bit less than in last season.
