The first Frenchman in the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship series can speak of bad luck. During the first round of TAURON SEC in Güstrow he took part in a collision with Nicky Pedersen, which deprived him of the chance to run the promotion. In Toruń, having a great starting position, he fell on the track after the rival's motorcycle stripped him of the spokes. As it turned out, it was such a dangerous fall that we will not see Bella in Vojens.
- After the competition in Toruń I had to undergo a broken collarbone surgery. Only the photo of stitches remained, but I'm still sore and I think it's too early to be able to race successfully on Saturday. It's only 13 days after surgery. I don't see the possibility to participate in the competition being only 50% efficient - says David Bellego
Just two completed runs in Toruń and absence from Vojens means that this season the Frenchman will not fight for medal positions. It will be equally difficult to maintain in the cycle, but as he claims he is strongly focused on the grand finale, which will take place on September 28 in Chorzów.
- I was unlucky, especially during the last competition, but I know that I will be fully prepared for the last round of struggles and I will do my best to get the most points. I hope to return to racing next week, but first I need to have a training session to find out if everything is all right - ends Bellego.
