On July 27th, top European riders will race at Motoarena to fight for points in the second round of Speedway Euro Championship 2019. Ticket sales start on Thursday.
For the third time, Toruń will host one of the rounds of Individual Speedway European Championship. First competition in SEC series at Motoarena was held on June 20th, 2015. Fans gathered at the stands witnessed many spectacular heats and it was Nicki Pedersen, who took the first step of the podium. However, it was other rider, who made the stands explode - Paweł Przedpełski, local favourite, got the second position. Rider from Toruń started with the "wild card" and his actions at the track made the fans go crazy.
Third position on this evening, was taken by latter Individual European Champion - Emil Sayfutdinov. Two years later, round in Toruń inaugurated SEC 2017 series. Back then, it was Jarosław Hampel grabbing the win. For Polish riders, it was the first international meeting after a serious hip injury, which he got during the semi-final of Speedway World Cup 2015, held in Gniezno. Other steps of the podium were taken by Vaclav Milik (2nd) and Andzejs Lebedevs (3rd).
This year's rivalry in Toruń will run as a second round of Individual Speedway European Championship and it will be a special one - next to the fight of Europe's top speedway riders, fans will be able to participate in many attractions, organized because of Motoarena's tenth anniversary.
