German city Güstrow is the first venue to host Speedway Euro Championship 2019. From now on, tickets for this event are available.
For the fifth time, Individual European Championship are headed to Güstrow. Speedway fans surely remember that the first time, when top European riders were racing in this city, was back in 2014 (July 6th). On this day, it was Nicki Pedersen enjoying the moment at the top of the rostrum. After a one-year break, SEC series came back to north of Germany, and back then, Martin Vaculik won this round. Local fans were more than proud with their fellow countryman - Kai Huckenbeck, who ended third.
On July 15th, 2017, fans gathered at the stands, witnessed an incredibly passionate spectacle with latter silver medalist of the series - Artem Laguta taking the win in Güstrow.
Last of the rounds, which were held there (14th of July 2018), was the one with Robert Lambert enjoying his premiere win in the series. In the final heat, he defeated latter Euro Champion - Leon Madsen.
Meeting in Güstrow became a must-be point on the map of Individual Euro Championship.
SEC has been attracting thousands of German fans to the stands and cooperation between local club and One Sport has been working great.
- For me, SEC in Güstrow is extremely important. I've been here since day one, since I can remember, It will be the fifth time, when Speedway Euro Championship will be taken in Güstrow and each time, it's a great honour for us. With One Sport, we've been having some great relations. We cooperate well, having no problems at all - chairman of MC Güstrow, Torsten Jürn said.
Except Güstrow, hosts of SEC 2019 rounds are Toruń, Vojens and Chorzów. Top 5 riders from last year's series, secured their spots for SEC 2019. Therefore, we will surely see in Güstrow riders like Leon Madsen, Jarosław Hampel, Mikkel Michelsen and Antonio Lindbaeck.
Next ten spots are reserved for the ones, who will go through qualification rounds or receive special "wild cards" from the organizers. Qualifications to SEC 2019 start on April 27th, 2019.
