Final round of Individual Speedway European Championship, which was held at the Śląski Stadium in Chorzów, got the prestigious nomination to Sport Business Awards for 2018, given by the Sport and Business Forum SPORTBIZ. Nominated as the "Sport event of the year", final round of TAURON SEC will face Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia and Volvo Sailing Days 2018 as its rivals.
Sport business awards' role is to emphasise and distinguish a special influence into development and process of professionalization of Polish sport, useful usage of knowledge and tools in processes of sport management and marketing solutions. This year, DEMES awards will be given in 12 categories and TAURON SEC Final Round found its place in the "Sport event" section. Winners will be announced during the 15th Gala of Sport and Business, which will be held on March 13th, 2019 in Warsaw.

TAURON SEC Final Round, held at the Śląski Stadium in Chorzów, gathered 32 thousand fans at the stands. Live TV coverage was broadcasted by Eurosport, TVP 1 and TVP Sport and it was followed by 850 thousand people. What's more, in the "Sport venue" category, there's also Śląski Stadium, which got the nomination too. Organizers of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship have already announced that final round in 2019 will once again be held at this stadium in Chorzów. This year's European Champion will be known on September 28th, 2019. Ticket sales start soon.
