Medalist of Individual Speedway European Championship 2013, Grigorii Laguta will start in the qualifications to Speedway Euro Championship 2019. Preliminary rounds are planned on April 27th and May 1st.
Laguta is one of the most spectacular racing riders in the world. Because of his suspsension, Russian is coming back to active and professional sport after a 21-month break.
- Through whole that time, I focused on family matters. Now, I'm back to racing - Laguta said.
This year, surely, Russian will be one of the most interesting speedway personalities. As it's well known, many league teams are willing to use this situation and sign him. As he already has cleared, he's all about quickly coming back to international racing and first stop on this road is to start in qualifications to Speedway Euro Championship 2019.
- I have some plans for this season, but wouldn't like to reveal them all. One of them, however, is my strong will to compete in qualifications to SEC series - Russian added.
At the LetsMakeSpeedway gala, which was held on January 25th, hosts of the Euro Championship 2019 were presented. Rivalry will start in Guestrow, then riders will move to Toruń and Vojens. Final round of SEC 2019 is planned on Śląski Stadium in Chorzów.
- I saw the calendar and see each of these tracks as the ones that suit me. I also watched last year's final in Chorzów and I think that this track wouldn't cause me any troubles - Laguta ended.
