Guestrow, Toruń, Vojens and Chorzów are the host cities of Euro Championship in 2019.
Speedway Euro Championship 2019 starts on July 13th in Guestrow (Germany). It will be the fifth visit of the series at this German venue. One year back, it was Robert Lambert, who was celebrating the win at this special track.
SEC is also coming back to Toruń. For the third time, this Polish city will host the Individual Speedway Euro Championship and it will be held on July 27th.
Fans in Denmark have been waiting 5 years for SEC coming back to their country. In 2014, one of the rounds was taken in Holsted, but this time it will be Vojens placed on SEC 2019 map. Third round of the series is planned on August 10th.
- We are pleased to present the SEC series about the European Championship, already in our first season. I hope that our co-operation with One Sport will benefit to Danish speedway. As One Sport operate with wildcards, it is conceivable that Nicki Pedersen could be invited to this year’s series, and thus join in Vojens in August - Jacob Olsen says.
Series, once again will end its road in Chorzów. Last year's success, including building an artificial track on the athletics stadium and huge work that had been done made Chorzów gather an approval amongst riders, officials and fans. Therefore, it was a natural move to once again have this round at the stadium, which capacity is 50 000 seats.
At this moment, there are 5 riders, who secured their spots for 2019 series: Leon Madsen, Jarosław Hampel, Robert Lambert, Mikkel Michelsen and Antonio Lindbaeck. Another ten spots are reserved for these, who will go through qualification rounds or receive the wild cards from the organizers. Qualificationss start on April 27th.
