Emil Sayfutdinov was second in the third round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2018, held in Duagavpils (Latvia). Russian got 13 points, which led him go up in the overall classification of the series, right to the fourth position.

Rivalry in Latvia started for Russian rider with an exclusion. After facing Andriy Kudriashov, double Euro Champion, fell at the track and didn't start in heat's repeat. Next starts, however, were way better for Emil. "Russian Torpedo" presented some top-notch and attractive racing by getting his points also after fighting on the distance.

- It was a tough meeting. Track looked good, but as the meeting went by, there were some holes in it. Never though, it really suited me. I'm really happy with my second position today. After first heat, I really had to mobilize myself and collect points. I didn't manage to go directly to the final, but was able to do it through the race-off heat. Big thanks to the audience, who supported me a lot. It's really important for me - Sayfutdinov said.

Thanks to his high score in Daugavpils, Sayfutdinov got promoted to the fourth place overall. Before the last round of TAURON SEC 2018, Russian is four points down to third Robert Lambert and eight to the leader - Leon Madsen.

- I keep on fighting for the top goals and I want to come back from Chorzów with one of the medals - Russian added.

Final round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship will be taken at an artificial track at Śląski Stadium in Chorzów. Emil Sayfutdinov will be one of the most experienced riders, when it comes to starting on such one-day tracks. Already in this year, Russian has had three chances to compete at such surfaces.

- One-day tracks aren't easey. I really hope that properly set surface will let us fight and fans will witness a great racing - Sayfutdinov ended.
