Jarosław Hampel won the first round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2018, which was taken in Gniezno. Polish rider grabbed this win in an amazing style by getting 17 out of 18 possible points.

For the second time in a row, Hampel became the winner of inaugural round of Euro Championship. One year ago, rider from Piła came out as number 1 in Toruń. This time, Hampel left no illusions to his rivals and was simply unbeatable in Gniezno.

- Naturally, I'm really happy with my performance. Right from the very first heat I felt confidence at this track. I'm glad I got so many points, because it's a great information for me when it comes to next rounds, which will be held at some tough venues as Güstrow, where track is a really specific one. I hope that I will keep this high level in the upcoming rounds - Hampel said.

Thanks to an impressive result, Jarosław Hampel instantly became the main candidate to win the whole series of TAURON SEC 2018. We still have three rounds ahead, with the nearest one in Güstrow. Hampel admits that he hasn't had many chances to compete there.

- I started there some time ago, track's geometry is really surprising. However, I think that when you're in a good shape and everything is running as it should, then track's geometry is not an issue. There's always a practice session before the meeting, so I will get some knowledge about the track then and will do my best to race on a highest level - Hampel ended.

Second round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2018 will be held in Güstrow on July 14, 2018. Tickets are available: http://bit.ly/TAURON_SEC_GUSTROW.
