Elitserien: Piraterna the strongest, Hammarby out of the league

13th of August regular season in swedish Elistserien were finished. Piraterna Motala won that part of the battle. Stefan's Andersson team is very happy about that but in totally bad mood are riders from Hammarby. Team from Stockholm is relegated to the lower Allsvenskan league.

Piraterna Motala - Vargarna Norrkoeping 51:39
Motala team proved on Tuesday their power against Vargarna. Piotr Pawlicki junior and Greg Hancock leads a home team to win. Polish rider scored 13 points and american interantional collected 11 and engine failure in the last heat of the meeting. For Norrkoeping only second in Speedway European finals so far danish star Nicki Pedersen fought hard. Power scored 10 points in Motala. His country mate Peter Kildemand were great supporter with 13 points scoring.

Indianerna Kumla - Smederna Eskilstuna 53:37
Great due Piotr Proatsiewicz - Niels Kristian Iversen leads team from Kumla to home win over Smederna. Both riders scored 12 points and danish international had two bonuses also. In away team fanstastic meeting for Krzysztof Buczkowski. Polish international collected 15 points from six races but it didn't helped Eskilstuna team, 'cause the weakest day had one of their leader Grogorij Laguta who was so fantastic in Togliatti durin the second SEC final.

Elit Vetlanda - Hammarby Sztokholm 59:31
Stockholm smashed in Vetlanda! Unbeaten Jaroslaw Hampel and top disposition of rest of the Elit riders didn't give any chance for Hammarby in that fixture. For a long time team from the capitol of Sweden had a massive problems and with only 8 big points after 14 meetings Hammarby was relegated to the lower Allsvenskan league.

Vastervik Speedway - Dackarna Malilla 37:53
Dackarna confirmed their apetite for the tittle and had a great win on the really hard track in Vastervik. Absolutely top disposition of Fredrik Lindgren was one of the main things to that win. Swedish international who is not so good in the SEC finals so far on tuesday scored paid 13 from five rides and leads his team to the important win in Vastervik. Great dissapointing for Vastervik's Peter Ljung and Chris Harris. Swedish rider scored only one and british just three points in this home fixture.

Closer look at TAURON SEC 2020

The TAURON SEC season in the year 2020 was more than unique. The series provided us with many emotions and a few special events, which are worth to mention after all. Speedway enthusiasts probably took notice of many details that we have not experienced in previous years or might come to conclusion, that in some cases history likes to repeat itself. Let's take a closer look at this year’s Individual European Championship competition.

Michelsen: I wasn't meant to win

Mikkel Michelsen took fourth place in this year's TAURON Speedway Euro Championship series. Before the start of the competition, The Dane announced the fight to defend his title he won a year ago, but less successful tournaments in Rybnik, Gniezno and Toruń crossed out his chances for final victory.

Madsen: Robert did a great job

Leon Madsen got the silver medal of the Individual European Championships. The Dane won three rounds of this year's cycle, but it was not enough to reclaim the title.

Lambert: I knew what I had to do

Robert Lambert became the new Individual European Champion. At the end of the TAURON SEC 2020 cycle, the British won the final round in Toruń. The fight for the gold medal was decided excitingly in the very final heat in which Lambert crossed the finish line before Leon Madsen.

Motoarena in Torun hosted the last and crucial round of this year's TAURON Speedway Euro Championship. After a tight and even tournament, the victory was achieved by Robert Lambert, who additionally won the title of Individual European Champion in 2020!

Madsen: I will do my best to win

Leon Madsen surprisingly took “only” sixth place during the third round of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020 which took place in Gniezno. The Dane scored nine points and now is on the second place in the interim classification of the cycle with a two point loss to the leader, Robert Lambert.
