One of two Czech riders in this year's European Championships. While everyone in his country is looking only at Vaclav Milik, experienced Josef Franc will try to make his best and who knows, maybe to be a season's biggest surprise.

His age (38 years old) makes Franc one of the most experienced riders in TAURON SEC 2018. Josef achieved success in his country. In 2013 and 2014, he was the best in Czech championships on longtrack. That type of speedway was Franc’s best side. Also in classic speedway, he was always one of the best in Czechia. Four times he won silver in local championships. Also, in 2017 he was
the best, using Vaclav Milik’s absence.

On April 8th, in epic style, Franc won Prague Open tournament, which gave him a replacement place during Grand Prix in Czech capital. In Poland, experienced rider is fghting for KSM Krosno, wherein he made epic comeback after 2 years. As he said, his idol is Sam Ermolenko. Born in Caslav, the rider now has a chance to show his skills to fans all over the world and we can be sure that he’ll show the best of him in Gniezno, Gustrow, Daugavpils and Chorzów. For now, he made his best result in Czech GP in 2012, when he fnished ahead of Jarosław Hampel, Kenneth Bjerre or Andreas Jonsson.

During TAURON SEC 2018, Franc will ride on Lokomotiv Daugavpils stadium, where he started some time ago as a local club rider. Maybe his knowledge will allow him to surprise us. For sure, his good performance would be an invitation for young people in Czechia to try their skills on speedway track.
