In the third round of Speedway Euro Championship held in Togliatti, he got six points, however he surely counted on more. After ending the meeting in Russia, he was far from being happy then. Andzejs Lebedevs, one of the youngest riders in the line up, hopes that he'll be able to celebrate his buddy's success.
Before the Saturday's meeting in Togliatti, Janusz Kołodziej counted that he would have presented similarly to Guestrow, where he reached the final, however it was cancelled because of the weather conditions. Unfortunately, the third round won't be remembered for him as a good one.
Meeting in Togliatti wasn't lucky for the Poles. Not only, they did not start in the final, but also none of them got the right to compete in the race-off heat. After all, Krzysztof Kasprzak was the best among them and despite a poor beginning, he managed to reach 8 points and ended as 7th.
After ending the rivalry in Togliatti, Grigorij Laguta wasn't leaving the stadium for a long time. Supporters and friends did not let him do so. Everyone wanted to high five him or at least congratulate to the winner of Russian round of Speedway Euro Championship.
Third round of Speedway Euro Championship ended with another Grigorij Laguta's win. After a very exciting final, Russian defeated Antonio Lindbaeck and Leon Madsen. Hans Andersen took the 4th position.

Andzejs Lebedevs is one of three wild card holders to start in Speedway Euro Championship 2016. Young and talented Latvian proved in the first round that he is able to reach a lot, so before the second round in his hometown - Daugavpils, he was put among the favourites to stand on the rostrum. That evening though did not belong to him. Maybe, the third round will be a breakthrough.

This time, riders will move East, to Togliatti, situated 985 kilometers from Moscow.
In this season, riders starting with a wild card have been doing really good so far. First, we had Kai Huckenbeck taking the third place in Güstrow and now, Maksims Bogdanovs was very close to repeating this success in Daugavpils.
Between the first and fourteenth rider in the overall classification of Speedway Euro Championship, there is only a 5-point difference. Can the fight for the Individual European Champion can be even more interesting than that?
