On the 4th of July at Toruń’s Motoarena the inaugural round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020 is going to be held. Starting numbers for this round have just been drawn.
The Tauron Speedway Euro Championship series will take place in the 2020 season on different rules than in previous years. Five finals instead of four, stadiums – hosts only in one country and all in just 25 days – are the basic differences from previous seasons. Toruń will host two rounds of this year's TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020 series. Ticket sales for both rounds are available via eBilet.pl. Today we also revealed the rider who will start as a wild card during the inaugural round in Toruń. It will be a real treat for the fans, as the Individual World Champion, Bartosz Zmarzlik, will show his performance at the Motoarena.

Individual European Champion A.D. 2020 will be selected in five tournaments, hosted this year only in Poland. In July four stadiums will be attended by riders who will also fight for a pass to the Speedway Grand Prix for the 2021 season. Three objects will return to the series of competitions in the Tauron SEC, while one will debut.

From the beginning of its existence, Motoarena in Torun has been hosting riders competing in the Speedway Grand Prix series. This venue is also regularly one of those hosting the Tauron Speedway Euro Championship final rounds. It will be similar this year, with the difference that in Toruń, riders competing for the title of the best in Europe, will appear twice!
An unprecedented situation in the world of speedway just becomes reality. Poland will host five rounds of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020. For the first time in history the entire Individual European Championship series will be held in one country.
Even if the plans for 2020 were originally completely different, the COVID-19 pandemic forced promotors to reorganize the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship series. Instead of four rounds with the grand final at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, fans will be watching a five rounds competition for the gold medal of the Individual European Championships and a starting place in next year’s FIM Speedway Grand Prix series. And all of this will happen with the enormous support of TAURON.
On Friday 15 May, the One Sport officially announced the first round of the round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship in Vojens, Denmark has been cancelled. It was due to take place on June 20 and if is, of course, the COVID-19 pandemic that is the cause.
